Create an ActivClassroom!
- GJSMS has purchased 2 sets of ActivExpressions and will be purchasing 2 additional sets shortly; the Special Ed department will be purchasing a set for their department in the Spring. An interactive whiteboard is NOT required to use ActivInspire and ActivExpressions!
- Professional development is required before the devices can be used with ActivInspire software; see the Professional Development opportunities at the bottom of this page. Teachers engaging in professional development may request installation of ActivInspire software on their classroom computers; contact Kelly Ray or Steve Barth.
PROCEDURES for Using ActivExpressions
- RESERVE a set of ActivExpressions on the AV-Technology Reservations Sheet: SHARED drive > Tech Resources > Equipment Reservations
- See Kelly or Donna in the Library Office to retrieve the ActivExpressions Kit you reserved (Kits are secured in locked cabinet in the AV room)
- Use your class lists to assign students an ActivExpressions device number for your class, for the entire school year (#1-32). Have students write their assigned device number in the space provided on their Student Computer ID Card.
- Ensure that all devices have been returned before dismissing each class.
- Remember to return the ActivHub to the bag before returning the Kit to the Library Office.
- Return the Kit promptly at the end of your reservation so that it's available for the next user.
- Return the Kit directly to Donna or Kelly so that we can lock it up; if we're not around, leave it on the round table in the Library Office and send us both an email to let us know you dropped it off.
